Glass can be scratched, scuffed or marked as a result of wear and tear, an accident or even the malicious actions of a frustrated artist! Often such damage isn't enough to justify replacement, however it can still be annoying and spoil the appearance of an item or view through it.
Out of date information etched on glass is another common problem. Whether the etching on your car windows needs to match your personal number plate, or your premises is displaying the wrong signage we can put it right for a fraction of the cost of replacement. Using patented Glas.Weld Systems technology we can restore such glass to its former glory 90% of the time, without causing the distortion associated with other scratch removal systems. Removing damage from glass rather than replacing it is also beneficial in many other ways.

Unlike many of our competitors whose main business is glass replacement, we specialise in removing and repairing damage to glass, nothing else. Therefore we don't recommend replacement if the damage can be repaired successfully and you can be confident that if we can't repair it no-one can.
Assessment of what repairs are possible can be arranged at your convenience.
Often the repair itself is FREE because most insurance companies will cover the cost of repair without charging you an excess, rather than pay for replacement.
Even if you're not insured repair can be up to 80% cheaper than replacement.
Our standards of repair meet the British Standards Institute B.S. AU251 requirements for vehicles as well as the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) requirements (more than adequate for glass in commercial and residential premises). This guarantees that even repairs to chips in windscreens directly in front of the driver will pass the M.O.T. test.
In addition to being approved by most insurance companies over 400 national fleet operators including 'blue chip' names in car hire, distribution, retailing, security, bus and coach operation use our services. Our work even meets the standards required by the emergency services, utilities, local government and the Ministry of Defense.
All the damage removal we carry out results in a distortion free repair that is guaranteed for the life of the item!
Our nationwide mobile service comes to you wherever is most convenient, carrying out repairs on site there and then.
Repair is often much quicker than waiting the days or even weeks it can take to order and replace some items. With some items replacement isn't even an option!
Repair involves less disruption to you and your environment. Work is restricted to the small area of damage and doesn't require removal and replacement of the whole item. As a result there is less mess and risk of damage to the surroundings - no retouching of paintwork or redecoration required for example.
Unlike replacement there is no subsequent risk of leakage or bonding separation problems.
Repair is also more friendly to the environment - repairing a few square inches of glass is not as wastefull as throwing away several square feet.

The Glas.Weld Systems scratch removal system is the only scratch removal process in the world that meets both the British Standards Institute (BSI) and the American National Standards Institue (ANSI) criteria for distortion-free repairs on windscreens.
Unlike other processes the Glas.Weld System does not use abrasives such as cerium oxide which lead to low spots in the glass which can be seen from some angles and also cause distortion.
The abrasion and surrounding area are thoroughly cleaned to remove all foreign material and debris. Special compounds are then applied to the damaged area using powered polishing equipment.
The polishing process generates friction and therefore heat which produces a chemical reaction between the compounds and glass. This enables the particles on the glass surface to move and fill in any abrasions. The abrasions disappear and once the area is cleaned you would never know it had been damaged.
